Ted Karstadt – Guitar
Ted Karstadt gives private lessons ideal for beginners and intermediate students of all ages. Ted originally wanted this store because he wanted a place where people could share his love for music, and take lessons. Ted has taught private lessons for the over 10 years, and guitar classes at local schools.
Becky Bennett – Piano
Becky Bennett is accepting beginner thru intermediate students. She loves teaching and playing the piano and has many years experience as a teacher. Becky plays piano for the Verde Valley Nazarene Church and the Wesleyan Methodist Church.
Anthony Lockard – Piano
Anthony Lockard has been playing the piano for over twenty years and loves to play and teach. After studying locally with Beverly Hall, Anthony developed a love for music and pursued piano performance with Dr. Frank Scott at NAU, as well as, masterclasses with Baldwin artist Wladimir Kochanski.
Katherine LaTorraca – Vocal
Katherine is an international award-winning vocalist, composer and voice teacher with extensive credits in opera, musical theater and inspirational music, performing throughout the United States and Europe. She has made guest appearances with the Rome Festival Opera, The Washington Opera, the United States Army Field Band & Soldiers’ Chorus and is winner of the prestigious Jenny Lind Competition. Katherine holds degrees of Master of Music in Voice and Opera from The Boston Conservatory of Music, and Bachelor of Music in Voice from New England Conservatory of Music. She has served as music director and soloist for many churches and children’s musical theater groups. She teaches voice at Yavapai College and in her private studio, applying healthy vocal technique to a variety of music styles and inspiring confidence in singers of all levels of development.
Faith Bergevin – Violin
Faith Bergevin has been playing violin for 40yrs, teaching for 25yrs. She was concertmistress of her high school orchestra and section leader of the top orchestra in the Greater Twin Cities Youth Symphonies, which toured in the Soviet Union. Faith was also concertmistress and concerto competition winner of the Mankato Area Youth Symphony. Ms. Bergevin was one of two high school students who landed a position with The Mankato Symphony. Faith was awarded a presidential scholarship to attend the Wheaton Conservatory of Music in Wheaton, IL. She received much of her violin teacher training through the Suzuki Association of the Americas in Stevens Point, WI.
Faith strives to maximize each lesson by tailoring a specific plan to the needs of the individual learner ages 4-94.
