Used 1974 Ovation 1114-4 Folklore

Posted on Posted in Uncategorized

This series was introduced in 1967 as the Josh White Model (1114). Josh White was a blues and folk singer. He would actually visit the factory in the early days and they decided to make a guitar for him. Josh liked the wider neck Ovation offered that his current Guild did not. The Josh White model would become the fourth model in Ovation's product line. After he died in 1970, Ovation discontinued the model. In 1972, they reintroduced the same guitar (Model 1114), but as a different name, the Folklore.
